do you have favorite summer activities? we ♥ to bike ride, and for our anniversary and the 4th we got lots in. for our anniversary we rode around two of the larger parks in downtown denver, washington (wash) park and city park. we had a nice weekend, minus no fireworks, our towns show was cancelled as was most of colorado’s. fortunately for all of those affected by the wildfires, the last few days have brought a ton of rain.

a little something special.. the evening of the 3rd we were having a drink with friends, sitting in the yard, perfect summer evening, and out of nowhere cicadas started chirping loudly. we were in heaven, we haven’t heard cicadas once since being out of the south and we think it was a little southern anniversary song to us. do you have certain noises you love about where you live?

…friends invited us to bike for brews on the 4th… and wouldn’t you know it was uphill the entire way?! below is us immediately after arriving, and can you tell how hot we were? oye. but it made the day. we had the best time and you really can’t beat biking, even if it is a bit of hard work. did you do anything special for the 4th?
