did you have a good valentine’s? we wanted to go for a hike or a drive into the mountains, but with my low energy a hike was out of the question and the weather made a drive unlikely, snow! the husband didn’t want us to stay in all day though so we took a short spin around the mall, got a little something something at anthropologie for a diy to be shown soon… that store, it can get you in trouble. we had a lunch date at watercourse (great vegan food in denver!). the food was all good but the ho ho stole the show.
we have 4 upcoming diy’s, 2 *mega big* ones (and we’ve got the boxes to prove it), and 2 small to medium fry ones, i can’t wait for them to get going and to show you all but i love the element of surprise so that’s all i’m saying for now. since a lot of rest has been on the agenda for me we’ve been watching movies like crazy, have you seen everything must go with will ferrell? it is a very thoughtful movie on a lot of levels, i loved it. (and w/f serious and contemplative is a nice change from slapstick silly). it reminded me of a very interesting book, material world, in which 16 photographers travel the world and have the families they visit place all of their possessions on their front lawn and then photograph them; entirely different than the why’s & story of the movie, but interesting to look at your stuff in this way. and while in charlotte my girlfriend jen and i watched hanna and wow, saoirse ronan is amazing. so we checked that out and it was just as good the second time around (for me). snow, rest, movies, it’s really not a bad way to spend a week.
any fun plans for the weekend? projects are getting started around here so maybe next week you’ll see more than just our faces on this blog of mine.. have a good one!

happiest ♥ day! are you sick of seeing photos of me and my cutie pie husband this week? well… of all things this blog is, i want it to be somewhere i can look back on our lives and see what we used to look like and what in the world we were doing so here we are, again! the draw of patxi’s pizza was strong enough to get us out & about two nights ago and oh my it was worth the wait, and we’re still eating leftovers. and that husband of mine let me drag him to williamsburg, brooklyn twice during our christmas nyc trip to shop at catbird (i’m a bit obsessed with their jewelry) for these rings i’m sporting, he even bought me 2 on our second visit as an early valentine gift. thanks my sweet blue eyed boy, i love you! hope you and yours, whether beau’s or besties enjoy this day, it’s a good time to remember everyone you love… xoxo, me.

hello monday.
did you have a good valentine’s day? we celebrated with a coffee date & snoopy and i didn’t come up empty handy in the valentine department either, my favorite part.. the card. plus, we got the best news.. the neglected vacant house next door sold and is about to receive a major overhaul. we did a major happy dance. we also went for multiple walks and were totally caught off guard when this bicycle blew by us..have you ever ridden one of those? we rediscovered how amazing peanut butter & jelly sandwiches are and have started counting the days till daylight savings time. hope you had a good week too♥

we had the most special ♥valentine♥ made for us today by alberto avilla on coronado island… he is a sand art genius. we just happened by him while biking and started chatting, he offered us a valentine and we felt so special (; our heart is simple but he can do large, intricate work and all with just a broom and dust pan. ah•mazing..
