a little prada for valentine.

prada marfa is really in valentine and valentine is a one-horse town, literally. the sign says 217, but I think 217 would be more accurate, plus one horse. (in a front yard whose fence is about 2 ft from main street.. main street being 90W) the second picture shows a tiny building popping up in the distance… and this little building is prada marfa. can you believe how in-the-middle-of-nowhere it is?

the artists who installed it (for $80,000) call it a “pop architectural land art project.” it’s a permanent art piece, however it won’t be maintained so over the years whatever happens, happens. we found it in relatively good shape and loved seeing something so completely out of the norm.
