last week we had our first redrocks experience… have you been? it’s a great music venue just outside of denver, it’s cut right into the rock formations and reminded us so much of sedona. we saw tesla and scorpions, toured the museum on sight.. so cool, gives the history all the way back to the 40′s, and people watched. one thing you can always count on at an eighties show.. lots of good people watching.. think a sea of black concert tee’s, long hair (primarily on the men), mullets, need i say more? we had packed a small snack bag and got lucky, you can take full picnic fare into redrocks, plus blankets, even unopened bottled water (but no spirits!), this is so nice, everywhere else we’ve ever been has prohibited everything.

otherwise, we did small jobs around the house, watched a movie that we regretted (the grey), caught up on the closer on tivo (so sad this series only has 6 upcoming episodes then over for good…), i made pumpkin pie popsicles… more on this later, i’m waiting for them to freeze, which does not seem to be happening in a timely fashion so…. we’ll see. if they turn out great, i’ll post my recipe. it’s finally hot like the south this week so we’re planning a little pool time, my favorite summer activity, and can we please slow summer down a bit, it’s going way too fast, we’re almost at midsummer….
