st louis

line us up and call us crazy but do you see how tiny that cart is that takes you to the top of the arch? you have to ride in almost total darkness (except for the small neon glow of the tube lighting within) so hmm.. no. no thank you. it was unanimous. thanks for being tour guide nanc..our visit was just perfect!

fun photos in missouri…

2

we got to go see the st louis arch up close and personal yesterday and i wanted to get tons of good photos to share.. and guess what? the camera battery, that oh so important piece of electronics is packed way up in the middle of our we’ve-turned-into-the-clampetts-loaded-to-the-gills-car and there is no excavating that sucker till we get home. upside, the battery stayed on (despite red flashing you-are-out-of-battery-life warnings) just long enough to get some great shots. so happy, thank you camera. but for now, this is what i’ve got. a black screen. we’re on the road, no pictures forthcoming of this leg of the journey, however we’re 300 miles in and nothing but rain so far so not much to take photos of anyway. so there. tomorrow.. the Arch. it’s pretty cool.

cutest vintage/cupcake/bubble tea store ever…  (found online here)

have you seen the blog food coma? miss emma shares great recipes, book reviews and more on there, she’s baker for the sweet shop in red velvet and has her own catering business…and was absolutely one of the sweetest people i’ve met! i didn’t get to shop near as much as i wanted to since he and i had a long drive ahead of us.. next time!

elsie, sister to emma and owner of red velvet, was newly wed and off on her honeymoon so i didn’t get to meet her on my visit..congrats on your recent wedding! elsie has an incredibly fun, creative, and inspirational blog a beautiful mess, she shares insights of being a business owner, blogger, fashion designer, and crafter extraordinaire.

both elsie and emma are sharing great stuff on their blogs so be sure to check them out and any trip close to springfield means a must visit to their super cute store!!
