denver botanic gardens, part one

i am a new member of the denver botanic gardens *thanks* to mamma mia, such a great gift!!! we went and spent an entire long morning here and it is amazing. the current special exhibit is kizuna : west meets east and we could not get over the bamboo installations. the river, pictured below, is awe inspiring, and there are so many more bamboo pieces all throughout the gardens. i’m breaking our visit into multiple posts because there is so much to share, too many beautiful flowers to show you!

this was my first gardens to ever visit, do you belong to one or have one that you recommend? there is a great spot to eat lunch in the middle of the gardens (the best lemonade), children’s programs (in fact an entire separate interactive children’s gardens i’ll show later), concerts, so much to do and see. gonna love this membership all year, me & him are going back soon since he couldn’t go with us. as a side note, what’s your favorite flower? mine, peonies.
