hear no evil see no evil speak no evil

have you ever thought about the expression: hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil…besides the image of three funny monkeys? i had never really thought of it any further, but those monkeys are onto something.

case in point…hear no evil : when others are trash talking.. tune it out, walk away, change the subject; see no evil : don’t judge (unless we’re perfect we’re in no position to judge and i don’t think anyone has reached perfection yet); speak no evil : do-not-gossip, it’s hard i know, so many things to chatter on about right? but instead, focus less on others, more on what you’re doing, and better yet on what you love and dream of doing more of (so much better to think of than the irritations of others).

who knew those monkeys were so smart. we have such limited time, the hours of the day fly by at lightning speed (at our house at least) and the more we fill our eyes, ears, and voices with things we love, the more we are focusing on what brings us true satisfaction. just a thought.
