a walking brewery tour..
0Our favorite tour, hands down, the Denver Microbrew Tour. It’s a two hour walking/drinking tour through LoDo (lower downtown Denver), downtown Denver and the ballpark neighborhood, includes stops at 4 microbreweries with little history lessons along the way..cool history lessons, like why one street’s been re-named how many times? It’s $25 per person (thanks Nancy & Emily for treating us!!) and we all agreed that you get your monies worth. The four stops are: Breckenridge Brewery & Pub (our starting point), Falling Rock Taphouse (seemed to be a true locals joint, complete with beer bottles & taps covering almost every open space), Wynkoop Brewing Company (Colorado’s first brewpub and where we tasted a chile beer..very interesting, and a great black lager), and our last stop, Rock Bottom Brewery (and my favorite beer of the day..).
The Mr and I love pumpkin beer in October and try to sample as many as we can each year..
Rock Bottom surpassed any & all, best pumpkin beer ever!!!!
*please & thank you* link back to us if you re-post something you see here.
