a sunday quickie!

3

The hammering man in Seattle is located by the Seattle Art Museum (which has a fantastic gift shop!) and is 48 feet tall and 26,000 pounds of fabricated steel. The arm is mechanical and swings the hammer 4 times per minute 7a.m. to 10 p.m 7 days a week. We were surprised to learn that it is one of three hammering men statues, a smaller version (and first of the three) is in Frankfurt and the largest is in Seoul.

*please & thank you* link back to us if you re-post something you see here.

    How was the museum? I’ve heard good things and am curious as to if the art inside is in a similar scope to the public art.

    sarah.. so weird i could swear i responded to this?? but it’s not on here so my computer skills must have slipped (;
    the line was very long so we passed, and then never made it back, we feel like there is so much to do that we did not get to in Seattle but squeezed in a lot.. we definitely will be coming back and have a lot left to see & do on future trips.

    Those damn lines. Too bad more cities aren’t like in Europe and Washington DC where you can buy a pass and get into multiple venues on the same pass for multiple days and skip the lines!
