the Marathon Motel & RV
••a little slice of Heaven••
we know we’re just starting out but without hesitation I don’t know that we’ll find many spots that we love as much as here for camping. they take passes/discounts for two nights, but it’s only $25/night otherwise, the grounds are very well maintained, and the view is nothing shy of spectacular. a train runs by the site (on the opposite side of the street) which we absolutely loved, but be forewarned if you want total silence. we had the place to ourselves for the most part, if it were busy we could see the bathrooms being a bit of an issue.. there is one full bath per sex so if someone’s in there, you gotta wait. otherwise, perfection.

Ahhh I love the wide open spaces of the west.
Just reading the post and looking at the photos makes me more relaxed already!
Wow, these pics looked like a set design for a movie. Just perfect and Marathon sure sounds like a wonderful place!
